The Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York provided many beautiful detours and excursions. Brendan and I were driving along toward our next gig and happened to spot this gorgeous sight in Montour Falls, NY.
Seriously, this was just hanging out by the side of the road. We pulled off and ran across the country highway to get a closer look. It seems like the whole region is covered in waterfalls and vineyards. Here's a map that shows just some of the accessible falls.
Speaking of Vineyards, a group of us decided to spend part of our first Maintenance Day visiting Mayer's Cider Mill and Lake Ontario Winery. I've never done a wine tasting before, and I'm sure I committed several faux pas, (I mean really, how was I supposed to know you're supposed to spit out the wine?), but we had a good time. I left with a few bottles to enjoy later, including my favorite, their Vignoles.
Here's a shot by Rob McIver of Brendan singing "Beauty School Dropout" during our concert in Oswego, NY. The Grease package is going over well, and I don't even mind the beautiful women fawning all over him.
